About Cardona Island (Cayo Cardona) Light

The location of the light is Entrance to Ponce Harbor. The nearest city is Ponce, PR. The station was first established in 1889. The current lighthouse was first lit in 1889.

The lighthouse is a white cylindrical tower on center of the front of a flat-roofed dwelling.

The tower has a flashing white light at a focal plane height of 46 ft above mean high water. The light has a nominal range of 8 nautical miles. The light has a period of 4 seconds.
