The location of the light is on Arrowsic Island on the Kennebec River. The nearest city is Bath, ME. The station was first established in 1898. The current lighthouse was first lit in 1898.

The lighthouse is a white conical tower.

The tower has a quick white light at a focal plane height of 18 ft above mean high water. The tower height is 18 ft.
