The location of the light is on the eastern shore of Lake Hefner, just off Lake Hefner Parkway.. The nearest city is Oklahoma City, OK. The current lighthouse was first lit in 1999.

The lighthouse is a hexagonal concrete tower.

The tower has an isophase red light at a focal plane height of 35 ft above mean high water. The tower height is 40 ft. The light has a period of 4 seconds.
