The location of the light is Virgin Passage / Antilles Island. The nearest city is Culebra, PR. The station was first established in 1886. The current lighthouse was first lit in 1886.

The lighthouse is a stone-colored cylindrical tower with red trim on a flat-roofed dwelling.

The tower has a flashing white light at a focal plane height of 305 ft above mean high water. The light has a nominal range of 14 nautical miles. The light has a period of 10 seconds.
