About Little Gull Island Light

The location of the light is Long Island Sound off Fishers Island. The nearest city is Orient Point, NY. The station was first established in 1806. The current lighthouse was first lit in 1869.

The tower has a flashing white light at a focal plane height of 91 ft above mean high water. The light has a nominal range of 18 nautical miles. The tower height is 81 ft. The light has a period of 15 seconds.
